Sure, there are LOTS of great green detergents out there , and yeah...the companies are making greener machines, but you know who's the Original Mean Green Washing Machine??? Grandma!!! That's right, you ask grandma how she did laundry and most likely she'll say, "by putin' my back into it!" Woah There Grandma!!! TMI! But seriously, when you think about it, washing your clothes with green detergent, wash board, and bucket is about as green as Granny Smith Apples...no relation...!
Not to mention that air drying = happy planet/fresh air sent...naturally and free of charge. So this weekend on laundry day, or what I like to call "i-can-see-my-carpet-day", skip the laundry mat and FALL TO YOUR KNEES...and scrub that stain just like olden times when everything was in glorious sepia tone. Final Thought; a bathtub is an alternative to a bucket but newly purchased hardware can also double as instruments...and think of all the quarters you'll have left over for mine and grandmas favorite drinking game...QUARTERS !
